Working to Become More Independent Since the Publishing Systems are Becoming More Politicized

Our apologies for being out so much, but we have been working on ways to become more independent. Lulu and other fee-based platforms have decided to tie everything to profit margins and the IRS. 

If you know about taxation, then you know that paying your taxes is voluntary. Something the Central Banks will not allow people to know because then their profit stream goes out the window. 

How the taxation system is supposed to work is very different from the scheme that is being played out now. The IRS has it's own court system, enforcement force, and other outlandish crapola to make people pay federal taxes. When all reality shows that it's the Central Banks' foreign entity taxation of Americans in use and not the American system of government. 

The Federal Reserve on a number of occasions through its representatives has stated that the Central Banks are not apart of our government and therefore do not answer to our executive, legislative, or judicial branches. At present, the Federal Reserve has been brought into the United States government under President Trump, but still more needs to happen. Maybe it's time for a flat National Sales tax and eliminate the IRS for everyone making under $250,000 who is not living off dividends (capital gains).

When someone signs up and publishes under a print on demand service, that person is being forced to make a profit and sign government paperwork. People using services are not that services employees. Nor, does that make a person tax liable. So why are people being herded into signing away their rights for the use of these publishing services? 

Americans should not be.

Sonoran Dawn Studios has not been able to publish our free books for quite a few months now. 2020 saw the change of services to demand monetary loyalty of its customers/users. So our publishing house had to suspend our publishing in order to research a new field. 

In 2021, we will be unveiling a different approach to e-publishing. 

Until then, our apologies that this year has gone awry. We will be doing fun activities for the autumn season.

Our Menu has Changed

Since the addition of new products and services, Sonoran Dawn created a new tab: All Our Stores.

This tab now lists the links to our various ebook publications, physical products, and creative services. 

Listing our expansion would be too cumbersome for our regular menu to the right. 

So we devised a shorthand version for the menu with a nice reminder to: Visit All Our Stores.

We hope this makes visiting our site more enjoyable and navigable.

The Wheels are Turning

Publishing is a strange career choice for a writer, but also a natural one. 

Authors are so programmed into believing that we need outside validation for our work. So we hungrily climb into the hamster wheel of publishing. We jump the hoops in hopes of one day getting a publishing contract. 

With on demand services, writers are no longer slaves to the wheel. We can publish ourselves. The task of learning front matter, back matter, copyright law, and book cover art may look daunting at first but in time any writer can create a simple, yet professional book. 

Electronic books are the easiest. PDFs are simpler still.  Print books need a little extra knowledge but not by much. 

Some writers cannot juggle all the ins and outs of publishing. That is why Sonoran Dawn Studios was formed. Writers can have their own publishing career without having to pay to play. Yes, some services and fees are necessary but writers need to watch out for vanity publishing. 

It is a fine line and with some research writers will know where not to cross and get trapped into the wheel of vanity presses. 

Right now, Sonoran Dawn Studios is getting its training wheels tested. Soon other authors will make their way into our ranks.

Making the Right Size Choices

When publishing a novel or chapbook, there is a general standard size one can use. 

What if you want to be original, artistic, or if the information is extensive? Would a coffee table book be appropriate? 

Publishing is a course in research and development. Marketing skills application. College post exam. Artistic expressionist experiment. 

Publishing is also trying to be modern and stylistic while being traditional and simplistic. Cannot confuse people. Cannot be boring either. 

That is why we publish in the 6X9 inch range. Small but not too small. Large but not too large. The publication has enough room for great cover art as well as white space needed to make books not feel cramped.
